Tour: Boise Watershed
Monday, September 16, 2019, 3:00pm - 4:30pm
11818 Joplin Rd, Boise, ID 83714
Tour speaker: Cindy Busche

Located at the West Boise Water Renewal Facility, the Boise WaterShed introduces you to water protection and conservation through hands-on exhibits and the largest concentration of public art in the state of Idaho!

The 2-acre outdoor River Campus simulates a journey through our watershed from the headwaters to the Snake River using public art and a simulated Boise River water feature in a park-like setting.

This City Club Tour will leave you educated, impressed and motivated to improve your own use of certain items that impact the water.

Our tour guide, Cindy Busche, is the Environmental Education Coordinator at the Boise WaterShed Environmental Education Center. Since the Boise WaterShed opened in 2008, Cindy has taught thousands of school-age students and adults, planned programs and events, including teacher workshops, and coordinated watershed-wide citizen science activities.

She earned her bachelor’s of science in Zoology and Anthropology at the University of Michigan and worked at numerous museums and zoos, including the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park and Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

The Boise WaterShed is a partnership between the Boise Public Works Department and the non-profit organization, Boise WaterShed Exhibits, Inc.
