Hear from Jeff Souza, Garden City Councilman and Business Owner, as he provides some history on Garden City’s Live Work Create District and where Garden City is headed next from a redevelopment perspective and challenge. The District provides more seamless lives to artists and artisans, in which living space supports creativity and creative space supports lives. The District has distinct zoning that supports live-work spaces, making our neighborhood a unique, creative hub for the Treasure Valley.

The District has distinct zoning that supports live-work spaces, making our neighborhood a unique, creative hub for the Treasure Valley. Here, you’ll find many, many artists and makers, along with more and more businesses. Within easy walking distance Surel’s Place, you’ll find Telaya Winery’s tasting room, breweries, The Yardarm riverside up cycled shipping container-turned-bar, Cafe Luciano’s, The Sandpiper Grill, and some of the best coffee roasters around at Push and Pour Café.

Tour Details:

 

When: Thursday, October 11th 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

Where: Meet at: Telaya Wine, 6609, 240 E 32nd St, Garden City, ID 83714.

meeting at Telaya first, then walking the Geenbelt from that location to 36th Street and possibly beyond depending on time and sunset. Please bring comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather.

Cost: $15 for CCOB members and $20 for non-members

 

Pre-registration is requested, by 9 AM on Monday, October 8th. This event is limited to 15 attendees. As a City Club of Boise Member-Only Tour, Members are allowed to bring one guest, space permitting.
