Tour: Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF)
Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019, 9:30 am - 11:00 am
112 N Pilatus Ln, Nampa, ID 83687
Mission Aviation was founded by a group of WWII pilots who had a vision for how their love of aviation, past careers and service to our country could be used to overcome barriers of terrain with a Christian emphasis designed to serve missions in countries worldwide. After the war, airmen in the US, UK and Australia founded missionary aviation services in their respective countries.

MAF's US office was the first to take to the air in February 1946 to a remote jungle in Mexico. MAF came to worldwide attention in 1956 when a MAF pilot and 4 other missionaries were martyred on a beach in Ecuador by Waorani Indians.

Today, MAF has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of isolated people in the most remote places on earth, touching down in the middle of jungles or even on the sides of mountains, accomplishing so much - carrying missionaries, delivering medical personnel and medicine, providing disaster relief, translators, food and clean water supplies, and relief and development workers. MAF also provides technology solutions to otherwise inaccessible areas that are politically, religiously or geographically isolated.

In 2015, MAF served 600+ organizations in 16 countries, with 7 of those countries having restricted access to western missionaries. MAF has flown over 2 million miles, transported 86,262 passengers and delivered 8,360,134 pounds of cargo.

Join City Club of Boise to hear MAF's story and progress on their current world-wide projects and tour their Nampa Headquarters.
