Forum: Hidden Histories: Gowen Field

Located south of Boise's air terminal, Gowen Field is home to Idaho's adjutant general, the state's Army and Air National Guard, and to U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Army reserve units.

Gowen Field has celebrated more than a half-century of volunteer service to Idaho and the nation with thousands of Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen sharing the runways and land with Boise and the community since it was constructed in 1941.

City Club of Boise is honored to present Hidden Histories: Gowen Field on May 20, 2024, in a special lunchtime forum at Gowen Field.

Speakers:

Major General Michael J. Garshak is the Adjutant General of Idaho and the Commanding General of the Idaho National Guard.

Brigadier General Timothy J. Donnellan, Assistant Adjutant General, Idaho Air National Guard

Brigadier General James C. Packwood, Assistant Adjutant General – Army/Commander, Idaho Army National Guard

Colonel Dennis Stitt of the Idaho National Guard

Where: Rally Point Club & Event Center, located on Gowen Field.
