About the Event
City Club of Boise and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute are sponsoring a free, one-hour tour of the Julia Davis Park Rose Garden on Tuesday, June 13. Diane Myklegard, a great-granddaughter of Tom and Julia Davis, will lead the free tour, along with park docents. It will take place from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
"June is a lovely month to walk in the Garden and enjoy the colors before it gets too hot," Myklegard says. "Dressed in period clothing, we will show you around, sharing the history of the Davises and how the Rose Garden came to be. After the tour, we'll offer refreshments to everyone who comes out to smell the roses!"
Myklegard also will describe the Rose Garden enhancement renovations that will begin this fall.
