About the Event

SnowSchool: Why our kids, mountain snow and rivers need each other now, more than ever! - RSVP HERE

Will there be any water in our rivers this summer after the historic snow drought? Find out the answer and hear the story of SnowSchool, a program started by Boiseans that has engaged over 500,000 kids nationwide. SnowSchool builds appreciation for public winter wildlands and inspires a new generation of 'stewards of "snow-to-flow". And through outdoor exploration, SnowSchool works to counteract the disconnect between kids and nature. The talk will include student testimonials, perspectives from legendary Boise volunteers and how to get involved.

Presenter: Kerry McClay, Director, National SnowSchool Program, Winter Wildlands Alliance

Location: Library! at Collister
