City Club of Boise is excited to announce Bea Black as the recipient of the 2025 Stimpson Award for Civic Engagement.
Ms. Black is the CEO at the WCA, where she worked for the past 17 years to advance the organization’s mission to provide safety, healing and freedom from domestic abuse and sexual assault. Under her leadership, the WCA grew capacity with the building of Laura’s Home shelter and an endowment fund of more than $3.5 million. Together with her team, she has helped to raise awareness of abuse across the State. Ms. Black will retire in June of 2026.
Ms. Black has also served our community as a Trustee of the Boise Independent School District where she was elected for three terms, from 1992 - 2010.
